THE KNIFE: AN AUDIO VISUAL EXPERIENCE

the knife is an electric duo hailing from stockholm, sweden fronted by siblings karin dreijer andersson and olof dreijer. formed in 1999, the knife has become a musical sensation in the underground electronic scene, gaining recognition as musical geniuses throughout the world. perhaps one of the band's biggest characteristic is their little disposition of making public appearances. it was only until 2006, about seven years and three full-length albums since their start, that they decided to showcase their music to a live audience. that same year they released their first live dvd titled the knife: an audio visual experience. the dvd, edited in sweden, features darker versions of the band's most popular songs accompanied with amazing visuals by photographer and director, andreas nilsson. combined, the performance and the visuals create a once-in-a-lifetime experience, hence the title of the dvd. you can find more info and purchase this dvd here. if you like what you hear, make sure to listen the karin's solo project, fever ray, here.

FALSE x BETTER OFF DEAD x FALLACY OF ROME

FALSE, along with its two subsidiary labels better of dead and fallacy of rome (in collaboration with lupe fiasco), are three independent clothing labels that have caught my attention as of late. they produce clothing with interesting logos that have strong and dark references to pop culture. the t-shirts, all screen-printed by hand, feature worldy-recognized logos like that of fashion houses louis vuitton and chanel and other important industry figures such as marc jacobs. you can browse and shop for their clothing here.
